So selling my S1 on the bay, I come across another ad and see that the moron used my caseback picture in his ad.....I file a complaint with e-bay and this is the response................

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to image and text theft.
I've reviewed your listing and compared it to the listing that you
reported for Item number 170184568606. The other member's listing
doesn't violate our policies because your listing was posted *after* the
other member's listing. This means the other member could not have used
your pictures or text.
If you had a listing that started before Jan-10-08 19:45:00 PST, please
provide the Item number. Once we receive this information, we'll be
happy to look into this further.
Rest assured that eBay doesn't allow members to use someone else's
pictures or item descriptions without the owner's permission. Doing so
is against copyright law.

So here is the picture in question.......................

and here is the link for sale at WUS..................................................

If you are concerned about your pictures, use a photo editor and type copywrite, Tony D. across the photo in white text.

TRUE. But, I have also seen people post pictures so out-of-focus you can't even tell what kind of watch it is. Some people just can't take a good picture.

For a used watch, it would be best if the person used actual photos of their watch. I always put that in my auction (i.e. photos are of the actual watch being sold).

Email the douchebag and tell him to cease and desist. I had a guy use a picture of my RLT on his auction and srh_pres let me know about it. I emailed the guy and he took it down immediately. On the other hand... shows you got a great shot of the caseback.

Post the ebay link and we can all ask him wear he got the shot!!toon1.gif

And of course eBay and its numnuts partner PayPal are filled with imbeciles...

Hey Tony, I here you. That REALLY BURNS ME when I hear s**t like that. It has happened to me before too. Once on ebay and once on TimeZone sales forum. On ebay I notified them and the auction disappeared within an hour, I guess I got lucky on that one. On TimeZone some jerk stole 2 of my Doxa 750T pro shots to sell his. I had a few choice words for him. Now I put my copyrighted logo on my shots to make them more difficult to steal.
