well I would consider this a huge screw up as the prices TT is saying as big markdowns on the show right now are the same prices I always remember these watches being offered at...I'm sure TT is as confused as us....I was on hold about 10 mins each time I called after explaining myself and giving my info each time only to be disconnected....that's it for memistake.gif

Well if they are going to play like that I am glad I'm not buying stuff now. I'd have to think of nailing them for fraud. A booboo or not I saw that GJVB price too Oscar. Almost made me cry.

You shouldn't have any problems O. You were so wise to make a copy and take a pic of the page with the price. You have proof. They have no choice but to honor the price. You'll be fine. ;) :)

Is that enshrined in US law?

Here in the UK the procedure is that, in person, an offer is made by the seller- an 'invitation to treat'.
The buyer then accepts the invitation and proposes payment.
The seller can then either accept or refuse to sell on those terms.

Because the internet misses out the final acceptance by the seller (in person), then great leeway was given to sellers in that the electronic order confirmation doesn't generally create a binding contract.

Some retailers will honour price mistakes for goodwill purposes, others cancel the order or offer something in lieu.

I called last night after this all happenned, finally talked to someone, was put on hold for about 10 minutes, when they came back they said they were looking into it....this morning I checked and the order was cancelled, checked AMX online and did not see that they had actually charged my account..........

One other observation......if the prices they had posted by mistake were thier cost they have a bigger margin on these watches than I thought

Quoting Nabco's last reply -

Years ago I used to work in retail and depending if the watch had gold and diamonds, the mark-up could be as high as 300% !!!

But I seriously doubt it's that high on JTV - whole different ball game! ;)
