I have this old Linden clock that i havenet had running for a while.  Last weekend I decided to wind it up and it lost about 10 mins. over the week.  From the pic, which way do I turn the screw? Clockwise or counterclockwise?  Thanks.

At a guess, I'd say clockwise. I'm sure someone will be along to make a correction if I'm wrong.:)

I didn't catch that initialy, but now that you pointed it out, I see what you're saying. Follow the arrow and if that doesn't work you know what to do. It won't hurt anything if you get it wrong, but I understand wanting to get it right the first time.

Its' counterclockwise to speed it up and clockwise to slow it down. The arrows point to the +10 -10 seconds per day mark.

It appears that it is already set either a little fast or a lot slow!

You might want to adjust it a little bit at a time just to be safe!

Yea you may have to play with it a little to get it right. My dad has one that is very similar. He has a few crankers. Awesome time pieces.

My favorite part of this clock is the different chimes.

I'd say that adjustment won't bring it into time. It most likely needs cleaned and lubed to run correctly.

You are probably right.  I will see what happens with the adj.  It has been 10 years or so since I last had it serviced.
