You are going to love that watch. Even though I don't wear it daily it is one I wond up the most often with my hand crankers along with my DeBaufre' Csar and JOA Rad. They get wound every 2 or 3 days. Love those and my Kampy ;) Look forward to your pic. Understand the Notebook too need one myself soon. :)

I'm a southpaw but I wear the watch on my left hand. Now I know why I get desk-diver swirls! Never occured to me, strangely.

Wow, tough choices! Being a resident of Pennsylvania, my first inclination is to the RGM, however I don't think you can beat the timelessness of the Rolex Explorer. When I do finally buy a Rolex, it will be a tossup between it and a Sub/Seadweller. As a racing fan, I love the Monaco but it would be one of those watches for me that would be worn very occasionally, I think you would want to wear your new watch more often! Cheers, Griff

RGM is the most outstanding, classic design of what you've shown, and would be a watch that you could wear for a lifetime. Rolex datejust is nothing to get excited about... Submariner though is a different story. Steve McQueen watch doesn't look very durable, and not something I would dive with... but then it doesn't seem you are diving, except the SINN. If you like the look of the Breitling (I don't care for the model shown / mesh not working with dial), then you should look at the wonderful MKII Stingray which you can custom configure. Breitling Steelfish... well, that's another story, and IMO a better choice.

Simple...chuck all these and get a .............. Seadweller!! Always a classic and rare enough to feel truly special when on your wrist. Love the McQueen, and I would to love to have one.....hmmm just watched Lemans Sunday night...... Michael, I want you to drive flat out. I want Porsche to win Le Mans. A lot of people go through life doing things badly. Racing’s important to men who do it well. When you’re racing, it... it’s life. Anything that happens before or after... is just waiting. Hello JKang, I'm probably the least qualified to give you advice because I don't own any of those fine timepieces. Well here are my 2cents worth; try them all on and get the one that screams I can't live without this watch! Good luck and please let us know which one you choose and enjoy the year long process of picking the best watch for you, cheers. smile8.gif

Well it's just my .02 but if it were me with those choices I'd go with the RGM. Why? Well among the already obvious reasons the one that stands out for me is it's degree of exclusivity. I would thing that in a room of "trendwhores" it would put me on a whole other plane. It'll go lug to lug with all the other watches in the room but try and find another one in the whole city! Second choice would be the TAG. Regadless whether your care for TAG or not it seems to be a piece that speaks to you and about you. You're a Mcqueen fan and not only would you be looking back at 30 but possibly even further back to your youth following racing and watching Mcqueen. That watch I think would have a deeper connection with who you are and what made you happy. Whatever the choice I think we'll all be at our computers on your 30th waiting to hear what new watch you're sporting woohoo.gif

Go with the one that speaks to you most when you're ready to purchase. You've got a year to decide and your inclinations may change during that time.

RGM...hands down! Absolutely classic. I also love the Explorer I because of its simplicity, but it is somewhat small. Zeno makes a fantastic homage to it, but nothing comes close to the RGM!!!

I would go for the Rolex Explorer or the Breitling. The good news is that you really can't make a bad choice. The Rolex is a classic and functional watch that you can enjoy on every occassion. I like the Breitling for many of the same reasons...a nice clean, but dressy diver. I also really like the mesh bracelet. I just put a mesh on my Omega SMP and it is a great look and great feel. Good luck with your choice. Follow your gut...you know what's right for you!!! Erik

Thanks for the comments everyone. I know it's a year away but hey you can never begin research too early, especially in a repository of academics such as yourselves. Thanks for bearing with me. As for the Sea Dweller, I've tried one on before. Too big for my wrist. The Sub is probably the chunkiest I can go, but then, even more people I know own Subs than Exp I's. As for the RGM...yes yes I hear you all. It's a piece that will break the neck of any WIS but mean nothing to the uninformed.
