I'm going to Manhattan for a long weekend, and as such, I'm going to go to a few watch places.

I was thinking of going to the Omega Boutique (I do think my "name" watch is likely going to be an Omega Speedmaster)

(Oh and incidentally, my Girlfriend insists upon going to the Swatch Megastore, and Chopard because she adores "Happy Diamonds" - she's been a "watch person" for years and years!)

Thinking of going to Kenjo and Tourneau, but as this is primarily going to be "Window Shopping" I was hoping if anyone knows of good watch stores in Manhattan (used or new, doesn't matter to me a great deal ... I am still learning!)

One of my favorites is Lewis Martin Jewelers (or something like that) it is on the ground floor of Rockefeller Center, pretty sure the street entrance is on the 50th side.

They have one of the largest inventory of vintage and pre-owned I've seen, and they are always willing to deal.

When I was more into vintage I bought a bunch of watches from them.

If you are looking for something in particular ask them for it....they probably only have about 50% of their inventory on display.

Have a great trip, I'm envious, have not been to Manhattan for a couple months

I was in NYC 2 weeks ago, and stumbled on an antique watch store with a huge sale going on. It is located on the side of Rockefeller Plaza or Radio City Music Hall...I forget the exact name and address, but it is huge. You can't miss it, it's interesting to visit, however everything is overpriced.

Oops! I forgot to clarify that I'll be there July 31-Aug 2 ... I just was happy to have got the time and plans together!

I will have to check out that place @ Rockafeller - the website looks just like the kind of place I like!

You can bet I will be taking pictures of the Omega Boutique - in a lot of ways it will be the highlight of the trip!

I am REALLY excited! :)woohoo.gif

I am 1 week away from my trip!  I am heading to my hotel and then straight to the Omega boutique and then WEMPE! :)  (That is, unless my girlfriend wants to go to Sak's first ... )

Thanks for posting this Brumo. I am heading for NY tomorrow for a long weekend, July 24-27th, and have gotten some great ideas on places to see watches, especialy vintages which are my thing.

Thanks! I'm wearing my Bali Ha'i watch there, BTW. Not terribly rugged terrain, but it will be fun.
