Just beware about an homage.  The "green" on their bezels will not be the same as the Rolex.

As far as 10x the price for 10x the watch, it's like this: If you want it, get it.  If or when the need should ever arise, you can walk into almost any reputable jeweler in the world and get a good price for it.

I put $1200 a year away for five (5) years before I bought my Harley (2006 FLHRI).  This I want almost as much.

Hey Andy, it sounds like you are getting some great advice from your fellow 3T members.  I would suggest one other technique for saving for the Rolex.  As an old AFSOC pilot I know you're on the road (TDY) very often, well don't spend all of your TDY check (deposit).  It used to be easier because the Govt. would mail you a separate check which I would put into my "fun things for Norm" account.  You could see if any of the other crew members want a Rolex also, then you might be able to get the Auth. Dealer to give you a discount because he sold two watches at the same time?  Good luck with the Rolex and fly safe, cheers.

Norm (Stormin)

P.S.  There are several excellent Rolex type (homage) watches out there but there is only one Rolex!  I say if it is possible get the Rolex and I bet you'll never wish you had bought the homage.  ThumbsUp02.gif
