After looking at lots and lots of options, my brother's requirements seemed to have crept a bit. Rookie! Don't ask me how, but he's landed on a Seiko Premier Kinetic as his choice. http://www.seikowatches.com/products/premier/kinetic_p.html  It's a lot of money for a Seiko, and I'm disappointed that he didn't go with a real automatic (because this is really all about what I want!). He says it was the silver face and sub-dials that sold him. Anyone know of an automatic that might compete with this style Kinetic? He hasn't purchased anything yet. The Lange & Sohne Big Date series of Lange 1....but that's just for style (minus the sub counters). For the price, add another zero to the budget and multiply by 4  .That Kinetic is ok but in my opinion, doesn't really hit the bullseye for a dress watch though.

Ha ha, well, so much for it not being round eh? Still you've got to admit he's got a WIS in him trying to get out. He saw something he just HAD to have and he's getting it! Good for him, may it bring him much joy.

Agree with Upside, and I too have to put the CW on my list of must want's  ... that was definitely a spot-on recommendation based on the initial criteria
