The more I look at the new Triton 2000m "Midnight Zone" the more I think I need to add it to my DeBaufre collection...it has a nice clean look and you know the lume will be amazing! hand6.gifhand6.gif

I really like the design, I believe it's unique and very elaborate.  However I'm not in love with the case.  Theres nearly ten different companies sharing this case, not that that is uncommon,  but this time it bugs me.

Also theres other companies offering it for less.

That said, I still really appreciate this watch.  Debaufre' has really turned over a new leaf with some of the most unique and eye catching watches around.  I've had both the Nav-B and Ocean which were both very impressive.  I recommend Debaufre to anyone...

+1 on what dannyH said about Debaufre'. Great company. Great watches. Love my Nav-B.

Even if it's a nice looking watch, I'm personally a bit disappointed. The actual Triton is such a unique watch with a great dial, hands, ss bracelet and case that this one looks more like another  Ocean 1 or another watch with a submariner style case and bezel.  I wish they use the actual Triton case and bracelet...Question of taste for sure, i'm just tired to see Sub Homages everywhere by everybody...As for the quality, I think Debaufre makes some of the best watches you can buy...hand6.gif

please share what other companies are offering a Swiss Made watch with eta that shares this case and same components for less?

Looking back at my previous post I may have exaggerated.  I need to clarify that I was speaking specifically about the case.

Other companies offering this case (or cases very similar to this case):

Deep Blue (NO PRICED LISTED YET)

Sonic Watches (WAY OVER PRICED)

Arctos (Swiss Mov't, "German Engineering", $895.00 PREORDER PRICE)

Wilson Watch Works  ($600.00)

Obviously not 10 companies I know of!  I do apologize for my erroneous remark.  Debaufre appears to be one of the less expensive brands as well.

What I should have stated is that I am dissatisfied that many companies are sharing this case.  Though like I stated before this is not uncommon.  At pre-order price, the Arctos looks like a worthy competitor.

Debaufre' is terrific brand and I hope no one thinks or feels that I was intentionally "bad mouthing" their company.  I have owned both Debaufre and Steinhart watches that I liked very much.  I am still considering this Debaufre diver as well but I may wait to look at upcoming Steinhart 2000m.

My apologies...

Danny H

Dannyh I also understand what you are saying about the same cases being used a lot. But like you also stated that if you buy a Debaufre then you are buying a nice watch. My stepfather loves the one I gave him! And it my eyes that is half the battle on getting someone a watch. Do a review of your Ocean1 when you get time. Thanks, Terry.

Thank you!  Nice to know people enjoy my reviews.  Unfortunately I no longer have the Ocean 1.  I had the watch for a while and loved it.  There are many wonderful things I can say about the watch but without having the watch in hand there are things I will forget.

So no review...

Debaufre should post more pictures of this beast! Underwater shots... Lume shots... Sexy shots...
