Hublot has been granted a multi-year deal as the official watchmaker for Formula 1. To commemorate the partnership Hublot is releasing a limited edition model, the "F-1 King." Not my cup of tea, but surely a partnership befitting both Hublot and F1.

Just a note and reminder the F1 season is officially underway with the GP of Bahrain being held Sunday. Catch it (via DVR if you don't wanna be up with the birds) on SPEED 3/14 7:30 EST.

Have to agree though...not my cup of tea, kind of looks like something Invicta would put out

The dial is the killer for me. YUK! Not sure I could see the sub-dials unless I used a flashlight. Give me a dial I can see and read. It hardly shows the F1 logo. waving.gif

It is interesting, but for the money they would charge I think there would be others I would consider first...  Should be a really interesting F1 season for those who enjoy the sport...

Nice materials, great brand but this model is so hard to read. If it were issued to an F1 driver and he read the time while in the race.........sure accidentcrap.gif

Certainly was an interesting race. Great to see Schummi mixing it up with the young guys and very happy to see Massa back in it and on the podium. He was flashing his big old Mille... I wonder if these guys actually wear their watches in car?

And right on for all the comments on this piece. Not too attractive or practical at all. If you were racing and needed a timekeeper which would you choose?

You know Mark I was thinking the exact same thing...  They always seem to have them on during the interview, but I would think a watch that size would get in the way in such a small space, but who knows... It would definitely be a testiment  to the quality of the watch with all the vibrations and banging around it would go through...  And yes it is good to see Massa back in his seat I'd like to see this be his year...

Hi from Greece.
They wear the caps and their watches right after they are weighed and before they get to the pontium. As for the watch itself, I am almost certain that some uber rich guys with rediculously overpriced watches don't even look at them. They wear them so they are seen wearing them.

''rediculously overpriced watches'' and ridiculous spelling. My apologies.
