...The Swiss Federation frowns on Invicta and I heard from a well known, reliable source that in 2008 Invicta was asked to leave Basel because of a issue Zenith and some other well known Swiss companies had with Invicta being in the Hall of Dreams and not wanting Invicta anywhere near them!Invicta was asked to move to another area and when Eyal pitched a fit they asked him to leave...lock,stock and barrel!

I really can understand that: How the f*ck did they believe that they was distinctives watchmakers who could show off with trades like Zenith?
I suppose that some trades in the watch industry know something about them dirty tricks and are nice enough to do not expose them but can't tolerate that kind of show-off... It's a small world and it's easy to find out where things are really made when you are in it

I just read this and thought I would share just to stir it up more.

About Eyal Lalo - Invicta Watch Business
Invicta watches TV guest Eyal Lalo is a third-generation watchmaker. His grandfather taught his father, who in turn taught him everything there is to know about the watch business. Eyal’s firsthand experience in the luxury industry allowed him to recognize the areas within the watch market that were being ignored by other brands—mainly the ability to provide distinctive designs and quality craftsmanship for reasonable prices. Eyal believes you shouldn’t have to spend thousands of dollars to own a quality watch.

What inspires Eyal and his team at Invicta is turning the balance of power in the watch industry back to the consumer. With each new design, Invicta has struck down the walls that once stood between the average consumer and true watch luxury. Eyal says, “I like to be known as the Robin Hood of this industry.”

I saw recently an English reportage about Robin Hood and how he been over "angelized" as in fact, he was a thief who offcourse stole from the rich( isn't it the best place to steal from???) and been also steeling from average honnest merchands. Accused to rob even honnest people trying to make a living and support them familly through hard times... This been recorded on writing but never came to light before little time ago.
All comes to that the best way to do not be arrested, is to be protected by the people and for that, you just spray some pennys around to make yourself a hero.
P.Escobar been doing the same in Colombia in fact...
Every nations need a hero and sometimes legends born out of very little: Maybe some minstrel who was working for him like it happened many times through history.
Let's call it the first propaganda...Now you have TV for that my friend.
And as the history repete itself, Eyal should check new history facts before he claims himself to be a robber. A robber is a robber in my book.

One can surmise many things from this statement.  Either:
1) Eyal's grandfather didn't know much about watchmaking.
2) Eyal's father didn't know much about watchmaking.
3) Eyal was a poor student, or
4) Eyal's father and grandfather were also pathological liars and dishonest businessmen and Eyal was a great student!
