Last night I tried to remove the bracelet of my Artego diver for the first time.
I said tried. Unsuccessfully so...
What should have been as easy as pie, turned out to be a major mission.  Why?
Well, if you look at the lugs side on, it will take you all of .0005 seconds to deduce that there are drilled lugs, and removal of the springbars should be trouble free.  So, out came the trusty Burgeon tool..........only to be met with "blind" drilled lugs!  Yep, after being baffled for a while, it eventually dawned on me that the lugs are indeed drilled, but the springbars are actually seated in a separate recess inside the lugs!  And to frustrate me even more...........you guessed it..........the springbars have no shoulders.  How on earth are you supposed to remove the bracelet?  I've run out of ideas.
Maybe mine is different.  Hopefully some of you with Artegos can chime in with some advice.mad.gif

Soond bad Graham: Would have been mad also...
Specialy if the drilled holes are not used and the springbars are sitting in other holes(if I understood well...?)
Anyway, a small tip of sharp knife can grab the springbar's surface and pull it out of the hole. That's how I took off some springbars who hadn't any shoulders.
Carefull with that: Pinch the blade tip between your tom and your closed index: Only 1cm of blade should come out.
Your hand holding the blade should come in contact with the hand holding the watch: This will avoid any accidental slipping.
Just grab the springbar with the edge and pull it backward by twisting the wrist.
The knife's edge if good enough, will hook itself on the pin's surface: You may try more than once...
I never had any scratching accident on the lugs like that: The hole thing is about how you hold your hands firmly against each-other and only twist the wrist.
Good luck amigo.

on my artego i go into the holes at an angle, not straight down. Might be a different thing for you tho, seeing as how they didn't exactly have the best quality care.

I removed my bracelet with a thick needle...the lugs are drilled through but the springbars are the bent type and you need to move your tool around inside the drilled lug hole a bit until you find the tip of the springbar...it will come out.ThumbsUp02.gif

I did get them out......with brute force.
The moving parts/ ends of the springbars were solid.  I ended up knocking them out with a small hammer.  No movement there......Almost as if there was Loctite or some glue preventing any movement....weird!
Anyway, now all is well, with new springbars and a black rubber strap with orange stitching mounted.

My philosophy totally...never force anything, just use a larger hammer!subtlelaugh.gif
