OK, I confess to owning several Invictas and up until recently, had been very satisfied with their products. A few months back, I bought a Dune Diver (automatic)and it ran fine for the first few days. Then I noticed that the second hand would stick at about the #7 and stay stuck until the #10; then it would run fine until it came around to the #7 again (I was able to coax it thru the dead zone by tapping it against my hand). After hearing countless horror stories here and elsewhere about Invictim service, I decided to take it in to my local jeweler and see what they had to say; I figured it might just be dirty, since it ran well except for one area on the dial. So, dropped it off and waited a couple weeks and when I got it back, it ran just fine; looked immaculate and cost me only $12. Frankly, I wouldn't even have looked at the watch for less than $20, but I'm not arguing. Since stupid Invictim wants $20 to even have you send it in for warranty work, why not try it local, first? I realize that, in principle, Invicta should be held accountable for it's poor quality and made to repair it, but I guess being pragmatic is the bottom line for me. So, I'm a happy camper...but even more wary of Invictim now. Jim

WOW an Invictim success story, kind of!!! I'm glad your local guy had it handled.:D It's true about Invicta being needed to pay somehow for their rotten products and terrible CS.:?

ive been thinking of doing that as well, not only with Invicta but on other purchases online that have no warranties or something like that. Seems like a good idea but you know, I guess I just dont know if its like going to a mechanic where people give you crap and try to tell you this and that. Im just too paranoid I guess.

You didn't say what was wrong with the watch. :( I had a Seiko Monster I bought from Overstock do the same thing. I sent it in three times and they finally fixed it. The minute hand would stick or stop on the 9 or 10 numeral. But, it wouldn't stick everytime. I'm sure they finally replaced the minute hand and all was well.
