I agree with KenC , in that we want a SERIOUS timepeice...we also want it personalized for us......we also like having a say in a watch we can be proud to own....... I just hope we can all agree so we can make this happen

James, Am I understanding you correctly? You said you can do 25 but need at least 45 to order? Does this mean some of us may not be able to order? Like I said before the blue/yellow/green colors are all acceptable, But I do believe the watch should have a saph. crystal for the money we are spending. Doesn't anybody concur with that?

Hi there - I seem to have a leaky brain this week, and for whatever reason, not stating clearly what I mean to! In principle, we like to run 50 total. Having said that, the question that I am asking Martin is what can we do if we don't get 50 total orders? It sems that at least 25 of the 3T folks want one which is great! I am merely trying to explore every avenue to make sure that it can happen. Believe me, it is not an effort to "shorten" the supply, and Martin and I would much rather sell 50 than 25! I hope that - and the miscommunication about "Final vs. latest" is now clarified! I will work on getting some more sleep this week! Your friend at Orsa - James Henderson

Dan, I agree that sapphire is very nice, but to me, not having it is not a deal breaker. Mineral and synthetic sapphire have the same optical qualities and offsetting advantages/disadvantages. Sapphire is less susceptible to scratching, but shatters more easily while Mineral is just the opposite. My personal experience is that (in 50 some years of watch wearing), I have never scratched a mineral crystal, but I have shattered a sapphire. I even have one 40 year old watch (bought new and worn daily in extreme conditions) that has its original acrylic crystal......and yes, it has been polished out several times. I guess the bottom line is, would a sapphire crystal be worth the $110 upkick mention somewhere earlier in the thread. Personally, I can't even begin to believe that's the real price when Bill Yao can have a custom made sapphire crystal manufactured for the Seiko Monster's and retail it for $60. jmho

Ken I agree with you, but unlike yourself I have had several of my non-saph. crystals scratched. I guess I am hard on watches. I also work in a Max. jail. That alone puts my watches threw alot others are not. I have banged up alot on the bars and walls. I am not saying that I'd wear my orsa in the jail, But to me its a piece of mind thing. You point is well taken though.

My 40 year old Glycine has been thru 2 combat tours in RVN plus serving me well climbing in and out of tanks..........but that is the beauty of acrylic (which so many look on with disdain). It buffs out on a jeweler's wheel in a heartbeat! Don't know what ORSA would charge, but I'll bet you could change out 3 or 4 minerals for that $110 sapphire upkick charge!

Can you translate "and the rest will follow"? Does that mean the ability to order one will then open up/be posted on 3T; or they're all already spoken for, and everyone else gets theirs after Oscar? I'm a little new to this forum. Thank you Charlie
