I would, but I just got married and my wife is already pregnant. My bank account is near empty, I blew money at the gun show on items I'm taking to Iraq and the wife will f-ing kill me if I buy another watch or gun right now. It took her about 3 months to get over me buying my Seamaster and that was cause she found out what her dad and younger brother's watches cost. Quite simply, my eyeballs are bigger than my wallet right now.  Xmas time I can probably sweet talk her into letting me get something.:)

You would think that would certainly "grow" the business. I find myself ordering elsewhere for a few bucks more so as not to have to go the the rigmarole.

Where else do you go? Is it his product or something else? I want to explore my options for similar product at a reasonable price.

I called and left a message that I was interested in one of his Railroad Standard watches and it took him two weeks to call me back. After I talked to him, I had the watch and an extra strap in two days. The watch was a bargain for sure but you had better have something else to wear while waiting for him to return your call. I don't know why he doesn't set up automatic ordering on his web sight.

EXACTLY!

If it's the watches you are after he is obviouosly the best source although I believe some models can be purchased through West Coast Time which has a link in the 3T Friends section. I would also keep my eyes on http://www.elitedealseeker.com/index.cgi?category=watches
for a bargain on the secondary market. I was personally referring to straps which he has in abundance and a rock bottom prices!!

I've got one I grabbed o the secondary market and it has been pain free...

Thanks Pax. He definately had a ton of straps at rock bottom prices at the show. I tried to do a deal with Howard over at West Coast Time, but other than initially, he wasn't very communicative. I waited several days for a reply with price quote w/shipping, and it never appeared. I decided to go with one of Bergs Mil-type watches.

Thanks for the advice Oscar. I understand about the whole "good guy" thing. No worries there, it's the same in the gun industry too. I didn't really have any luck trying to do a deal with Howard, but maybe it was just a bad week. He definately has product that I like and would like to have.

Howards shipping prices on watches are always between $10-$14. depending on insurance ....and delivery is 2-3 days via usps......I have known Howard to not respond after one too many e-mails or if he has an inkling that his chain is being jerked though:D He gives a active military discount as well....and runs many charitable disabled vet programs....he really knows his Military watcheshand6.gif

I don't know what I did wrong, but I definately didn't get a paypal invoice. I did see the prices and shipping, but I know sometimes things change. I was especially in a time crunch, I become a federal troop at midnight tonight and I leave the 25th of this month for my deployment. I didn't know what effect this timetable would have on shipping so asked for a total price quote. I never got the quote. I think my case is the exception not the rule because I've read too many good posts about dealing with him. I will try again in the future.  I definately wasn't yanking his chain. I been wanting to deal with him for some time now since he is the only dealer I've found stateside with the particular O&W that I wanted.
