Anyone know how to remove the bezel on a divemaster 500 swiss army watch. It has a one piece rotating bezel that turns one way.

Correctly by using a bezel removal tool like the one Burgeon offers at Ofrei...or a bezel knife if you have experience but I wouldn't reccomend it......why do you want to remove the bezel?watch2.gif

The Burgeon bezel tool runs $359. at Ofrei and it is the best imho but you may not want to spend that ...there are some for less but not by much:D...you could remove it with a case tool which is around $20. and under or even a screwdiver by getting it under and between the case and bezel and pop it off but if you haven't done it before you may want to practice on a cheapie and make sure you tape off the case good to avoid gouging it...but I wouldn't reccomend it unless you have practiced and even then I would use cation on a watch that cost as much as the Divemaster....some pop off easily others don't...snapping them back on is the same....

most WIS change out the bezel inlays to other colors but in your case that bezel has no inlay;) You will also have to make sure the aftermarket bezel is an exact fit....do a search on this forum as I believe one of our 3T advisers E.Avery/Eric may have posted a how-to...there are many tutorials on line if you just google "removing a watch bezel" that will help....Good Luck !!!....If all else fails send it out to one of the modders who would do it for way less and no risk to you.!hand6.gif

I'll ditto what Oscar said, guys like Duarte and Bob Thayer do nice bezel work for great prices hand6.gif  I am not sure about the Divemaster though as you would have to change the whole bezel.  It can be difficult enough finding a correct sized bezel insert for some watches, I know I have tried!

Cheers,
Griff
