It doesn't matter to me, I have from 35mm up to 45mm. My favorite size is around 40-42mm though. Whenever I wear one of my Bulova Accutrons they do look kinda small though, and that was considered a good sized watch in the 60's! Cheers, Griff

well I'm sorry I missed this one over the holidays but I'll add my .02 anyways. I'm a smaller guy so I have no business wearing anything big. It just doesn't look good on my wrist. Which is a real shame because that eliminates a lot of great watches. I've found that I can push 41mm depending how the dial and case are laid out. Typically I see that the thickness is related to the width, they're usually proportionate because of complications and asthetics so the smaller watches I wear aren't overly thick and it all works out. While celebraties and fashion may be pushing the idea of Big watches as the trend to follow I'll be looking for the 38-41mm sizes and hoping to find interesting and affordable styles in this range. This may be why I always look at vintage watches lately. I'm all for the great designs being produced but I wish they'd consider a smaller version in their line ups as well....or.... if any of you want to part with your smaller watches I may be interested;)

I say 46mm should be the cut-off point. Everything else begins to look ghetto fabulous. As for the thickness, I like a nice chunky watch. So much that I gave a friend a 1968 SeaMaster for free as I just did not like the lack of height/thickness on the case.

With a 9 inch wrist a 40mm looks like a ladies watch on me. 44 - 47mm is my ideal size although I have to be careful with bracelets and straps that they will fit me.Don seems to have the only 24mm XXL straps in the watch world, and boy oh boy am I glad his price is very reasonable as I can't afford custommade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
