I got a chance to compare it first hand with a colleague's Rolex GMT and it really was amazing to see the high quality and heft of the Steinhart. It doesn't give up much to the Rolex, well mvt aside I am sure. I do like the ETA 2893 though. Thx again.

Actually, the 2893 can be regulated to be as accurate as the Rolex. Both movements will need a COA about every 6 or 7 years, but that will run about $350 for the Rolex and about $130 for the eta. I have both so I know from experience.
