Ok...so this acquisition caps a string of nice ones in a rather short period of time (for me especially - my bank account needs a breather big time...I must go into a resting period and coast for a while!!).

This one was a bit of a surprise to me because I stumbed into it on "the bay" and could not resist the great deal considering it has the excellent stainless steel bracelet that I had been wanting to get if I was ever able to find one at the right price....well opportunity struck and I picked this one up!! (I had previously been trying to purchase one with the rubber deployment strap...which is nice in its own way, but another buyer was willing to pay more...in the end, I ended up getting this one with the stainless bracelet for about the same price...very happy with how the deal turned out!!!

I have always liked Fortis timepieces (for at least the last 12 years or so), and have always wanted to own one.  Bottom line...the B-42 MarineMaster has been a model that has just been calling to me and one that I want to own in both the Black dial (shown here) and in the Full Lume dial (love Paxman's Full Lume MarineMaster and have been constantly drooling everytime he posts his fantastic photos).

This is one of those timepieces that looks great in photos, but IMO...is even better in the flesh.  You can really appreciate the fine detailed machining of the case, wonderful dual AR coating on the crystal which at some angles makes the crystal seem to disappear, and the stainless steel bracelet on this one is really nice (ultra comfortable with very tight link tolerances within the bracelet, solid end-links, and again...ultra tight bracelet to case tolerances).  Very nice.

Some quick and dirty pics below...

...this one is definitely a classic keeper for me.  (I know you guys have seen this one, but I can't talk about a new arrival without some PICS!!!).

Wrist Shots!!! (This is one of those classic, "just the right size" for my wrist watches...not to big....not too small).
