My personal watch seller has
found a 1960's men's Benrus 25 Jewel Selfwinding
Watch. The sale price for me $ 20.

After seeing the photos, I decided to
jump at the chance to see if I could
score this beauty, with a Spiedel stretch
bracelet.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Cheers,
Simon

Yes, I scored big time on
the early 1960 Vintage Benrus Selfwinding.

The wrist shot.

The watch will need to get it's movement
cleaned and a new crystal installed.

I'm laughing all the way to the bank,
because for $20 the watch still has it's original crown.

                         I forgot to mention...

The watch does work and
is keeping time...subtlelaugh.gif

Cheers,
Simon

Big congrats, amigo! Is the watch a 32mm or 36mm. is it 14k or 18k gold. Looks like you won the award for bargain snap of the year with this one. Wear it in good healthhand6.gif

Thanks,Big and to Mark.

I haven't measured the watch,until
I go to work in the morning.
The case and the period Spiedel
stretch bracelet is made out of
stainless steel.

The bracelet is labeled Spiedel USA,
this only proves evidence that it is
from the early 1960's.

Reflection from the desk lamp
made it appear gold in color.

I agree that this is the purchase of the year.

It would be worn everyday with pride and joy,
until another timepiece comes my way.

Cheers,
Simon
