first off let me state that this is not "THE" Sicura. It is a case where some new company has bought the rights to the name... That said, i was looking for a inexpensive beater to use on the boat on the weekend. I saw this Sicura on closeout for $140. It was a Japanese automatic, 300 m water resistant, a good size at 45mm, and i did not have a yellow faced watch so i took a chance on it. What a pleasant suprise... this watch is really nice. it has some additional feature you would not expecton an inexpensive watch like a textured dial, screwed in case back, a nice combination of brushed and polished details on the case, and it came in a nice box. I wore this for a few days and it is extremely comfortable and keeps great time. the whole watch has a nice quality feel. The stem is well supported and movement winds smooth and is not loose at all. The bezel lines up dead straight and moves smoothly with no slop. The lume quality is well above normal. Only bad thing is i am starting fall in love with this watch and don't want to use it as a beater now... what a great watch

Looks ok, Shovel.hand6.gif

I like the yellow dial and the way the case rises from a curve on the lugs.

Wear it in good health.

Good looking watch. When you say a Japanese movement does that equate to a Miyota?

The is some contention on which one. The seller listed it as the Miyota 21j but the manual that comes with the watch lists it as the Seiko 23j movement. I didn't want to take the caseback off to find out. Although, the movement of the second hand is slightly different and a little smoother than the other Miyota based watches in my collection so i tend to go with what the manual says (Seiko).

The dial looks like the Movado 800 design texture. At 45mm it must look good on the wrist. Amy other colors?

IP not PVD ... There was also a Blue Face with a black IP case
all these were on a bracelet
almost considered getting one of the Black IP models so i could switch the bezel. i think a Black bezel would look good with the yellow face (but not $150 good :))
