boy10.gifYes, # 118/500 showed up on my desk this morning after leaving it's home in Velho, Portugal Monday evening.

This is a little smaller than expected but still a good presence IMO. Here are the specs;

  • Automatic ETA 2836 movement. Day/date, hacking, and handwinding, 40 hour power reserve.
  • Internal ratcheting dive bezel (via the 2 o'clock crown).
  • Bead-blasted 316L stainless steel case.
  • Sapphire crystal.
  • Water resistant to 300m (1000ft).
  • Screw-down crown for movement, non-screw-down for bezel.
  • C3 SuperLuminova on hands, indices, and bezel "V".
  • Color-matched day and date wheels.
  • 44mm by 14.8mm, 125g on the custom-designed strap, 22mm screwed lugs.
    There are a ton of review's done on this watch from the likes of; aBlogtoRead, Oceanic Time, Hodinkee, etc. I'll see if the watch can hold up to the reveiws

    So far I have to say the fit and finish looks great. The crown at 2 rotates the internal bezel (120 clicks). The crown at 4 operates smoothly as well.

    The only issue I had was changing the strap (original is siliconeblah.gif)

    The screws are sealed with Loctite 603. but after carefully using a soldering iron to liquify the Loctite the screws came out.

    oh my.gif

    Other than that, I quite happy with this purchase! Here are the pics;

    Here's the wrist shot...

    And finally the first (of probably many subtlelaugh.gif) strap changes woohoo.gif...

    Thanks for looking,

    Bill

    Looks great Bill, congrats ThumbsUp02.gif

    Great idea on the soldering iron, do you just touch the tip to the screw

    Been lurking around the Prometheus site: I like the design with double crown and stamp-riveted alike bezel. Cool watch and something special! Congratshappy1.gif

    Boy, that is a great looking watch, especially on the olive Zulu.  I had an internal bezel diver years ago.  Very practical.

    Thanks Guys!

    And... Yes Nick, I held the tip to the screw for about 15-20 seconds.

    Here's a pic of my old ocean diver , flipped it the same week i recieved it mistake.gif

    There was nothing wrong with it , just not for me , i also had to use a soldering iron to change the strap which was a bit of a pain in the a$$
