I bought this watch yesterday: My first Japanese watch. It was allready presented in the dayly wrist show but as it is special to me, I wanted to set some shots here. I fell in love with de all thing and specialy the roman dial... The watch is 42mm diameter without crown, showing like a 44mm in fact and 13mm thick with 21mm lugs. There's no screws there: Even the tip of the lugs could show some bars, the watch is in fact equiped with usual pins under. The crown is simple: Not signed...Well, it could be and it would have looked good in my opinion. The colones on the sides gives a great look and shows the watch thicker in fact as they raise like tooken in sandwich between the bezel and the screw back(4 screws there). The finish is really great overall: No doubt, it's in the high range of Seiko. For the movement: It's a 6R20 who seems to be a 6R15 with complication. Looks builded like a tank's machinery and is totally hand finished apparently. You can observe some cotes de Genèves on the rotor and they pushed it also to the dial, creating some similar effet on the small dials(date,day,reserve) with circular brushing: Great attention to detail. Note also the 2 screws who hold the reserve marker and the dial surface who got a nice "gauffré" or "waffle" patern. It came on a leather strap(Alli. Croc...??) and a clasp very well executed and signed "Seiko". I didn't take shots of every angles but there's enough to give you an idea... From my side: Great b.day present to myself and a watch I recommand for the Seiko tryers and addicted  Enjoy! I do!

Thats a beauty, Hammer. There are some excellent features on your higher-end Seiko! Looks as if it wears large for a 42 ~ and the strap is excellent. You're right, I think, about the 6R20 being a complicated 6R15. Its a workhorse of a movement IMHO and great value all round. I really like the squared-down lugs and Seiko is brilliant at the contrasting polished/angled surfacing on their Premier range. There is a lot to enjoy with that puppy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Ian
