Saw the Bulova Precisionist Claremont at Chronoshark for a very good price and jumped on it. Some may remember my enabler.

http://www.timetechtalk.com/forum1/23291.html

My order was for the Bulova 96B128 Precisionist Claremont.

Instead I received the Bulova 96B129 Precisionist Claremont.

The vendor caught the error post shipping, contacted me, and now I have the option of keeping this watch or returning it for my original order. I am leaning toward keeping this one as I am a bracelet guy and this is a pretty nice bracelet. The black dial works with anything and I can always get a strap. The list n this watch is obviously higher too. However, there is something about the brown that is so... well... brown. I am curious to hear what my fellow WIS would do in this situation. Please give me your opinions.

A few thoughts. Nice size at 44mm. Very unique multilevel dial. Curved mineral crystal which intergrates nicely and wraps the wrist. Nice combo of well executed finishes. HEQ movement with "Sweeping" second hand. Will determine accuracy. Nice bracelet. As you can see it is super generous...

Some quick pix.

And a link to a short video of the sweep.

The bracelet model is nice, but I keep getting drawn to the brown dial and strap model. Chocolate is yummy!

BTW, the black/bracelet model is on sale today @ $179.

Pax, I'd keep what you got, for just the reasons you stated! Of course, my thinking could be influenced by the fact that I have one just like it coming in the mail!happy guy.gif

Congrats on the new arrival Precisionist Mark! thumbsup.gif

The black dial, bracelet model does look great...but I understand your quandry here...both look great, and you got an even bigger discount since they sent you the bracelet model by mistake....

...I'm guessing you ordered the brown model, because like you said, it is ....well....brown........and I'm expecting that fact alone may provide the variety that you may have been looking for when you ordered the brown dial originally.

I don't think you can loose here, but if I was going for the Brown, I would probably exchange for the brown (unless you are now finding you want both a brown & black precisionist???toon1.gif).   That stock padded brown alligator strap does look pretty sweet with that dial IMO !

Like everything WIS...the decision is yours though! sponge bob.gif

Mark you are a bracelet guy so I say go with the one you received and if you want to try a strap you get to choose from 1000's
Just my 2 cents

It's kind of tough to make a real decision, without seeing a real pic of the brown, the strap and brown dial combo is definitely an eye catcher, but the clear pic of the black on bracelet with that curvature is just the cats butt, IMHO.
