I have been following this thread and was sick about this. I'm so pleased that things ultimately worked out. It's great to see everyone pull together to help out a fellow WIS. I have been buying and selling watches on these boards for about 6 years now and have not had any problems yet (although never for the $$ in this transaction). I guess when they say "buy the seller, not the watch" they really mean it. All the best, and I hope your next purchase is problem free!

ahhh yeas...the old stone fence scam!!! all kidding aside,just a side note as I have been reading the thread on the scammers paradise fora,and how some feel that by using Paypal this could have been avoided or at least eased the pain somehow with a claim as recourse. ..Paypal would have been no different than wire transfer,because Paypal does not protect you against items "not received as described",or an empty box unless it is a Ebay purchase...all the seller would have had to do if a claim was made,was to provide proof he shipped it with the shipping info and receipt.
