Finally got the chicken coop painted just in time for winter.  I built this thing from "scratch"  Nice to finally get it done.:D

Now the work starts.  My load of tress showed up  on wednesday morning.  So, now I have to cut them all to length for firewood for my outdoor furnace (which I am now a dealer foryahoo.gif).  This load will last about 2 months or so.  I heat over 5000 sq feet so I go through a good bit.  When I was heating with oil it cost me about $7K a year to heat everything.  Last year spent $1800.  BIG SAVINGS.yahoo.gif First pic is of the whole pile. Second pic is of me and my Husqvarna 395XP with a 24 inch bar and full chisel chain.  For reference, I am about 6'3" so its a pretty big pile of wood.  Went through 4 loads last year.

The coop looks awesome Scott hand6.gif

Just talked to a guy in Indiana a couple weeks ago that has a furnace like that...can't imagine keeping that much wood around.

If I were just heating the house, I would only use one load of wood.  Being that I am also heating a 32'x48' and a 40'x45" pole buildings with 13' ceilings and 2 10'x10' garage doors each, it adds to the wood usage.  Plus its good exercise to get out and cut and stack all that wood. one another note, i have the furnace fired all year long.  I heat my domestic hot water with it also.  Endless hot water.:D

Cutting firewood. Oh boy. Looks like Scotts gonna be burning some calories. Also, looks like you're all prepared with the right safety gear, but be careful anyway. Those chainsaws have a mean bite.
