Hey all

"My" Monstrum arrived in the sleepy metropolis of Perth, in Western Australia, about an hour ago. What spectacular value!

My suspicions are now confirmed - I'm an Orsaholic face4.gif

Berg - based on the quality of this one, I am now gonna buy a couple of Quartz SeaAnglers from you when the right ones are available.

Thanks for the piccies from other forumers in the last weeks. They made the wait less painful, and didn't destroy my excitement at finally unwrapping the bugger and getting it, sized, onto my wrist!

And thanks Berg!  ThumbsUp02.gif  IanM

Hi Oscar - many thanks! From what I know it is the only one around here at the moment - with others one the way to at least one other WUS forum member (who lives in Sydney), but his is being hand delivered in a couple of weeks by a mate returning from the US! Its not often that I can claim to be "unique" so I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Hi also to IWR - the rubber is pretty darned good. I have been wearing the Monstrum on and off since I got it and the rubber is growing on me. There is less "slip" on the wrist with rubber. I guess it just takes a bit of getting used to - but I will certainly rotate the rubber with the Orsa SS when it is available. Didn't think I would do that! And of course the other thing with the rubber is that I think it will be OK to get it wet...   I take some pretty long showers!

I have some interesting pics planned over the next week or so and will post.

Yep - the Mosntrum is a cool piece of kit and I am enjoying mine, so it is a keeper. How about you guys? Any horror stories?

Cheers! IanM ThumbsUp02.gif

I am looking forward to your pics Ian as Australia is on my list of places to visit in the very near future so I hope your interesting pics involve some of the beauty of Australia Mate!hand6.gif

I also find the new rubber strap very comfortable and the rubber endlink gives the watch a nice edge imho....I am asking Berg to release the new strap as an accessorie as I would like them for my Sea Anglers as well!yourock.gif

Fantastic, O!

You have quite a collection of SeaAnglers as I remember  ThumbsUp02.gif and those rubber straps will add a new dimension to your watches. If the Monstrum shares the case from the SeaAngler and the quartz version will, too - it looks like a done deal. I am now very interested in a quartz SeaAngler if I can get a (subtly) orange one to add to my collection so the interchangeability is a great idea. Regardless, whatever Berg comes up with it will look the bomb. That rubber filler is a great idea, and it gets rid of what another forummer called "case-gap". Good term! If you run your finger between the lugs and over the filler, there is perfect alignment - fit and finish are very good on mine.

Others mentioned the protruding lug screws as a potential problem - I am not finding that at all... nothing catches, they don't get in the way and they look very "toolish". Nope - I am liking it more every day. It is a fun watch to me - and good value for the money from what I have seen so far.

Pics after the weekend when I have had a chance to take a few hours off workmistake.gif

Cheers! IanM
