I purchased a new to me Benarus Sea Devil. When I received the item one of the screws was missing so I could not use the final link to get the perfect fit.

I contacted Steve via a pm and offered to pay for another screw if he had one. Well today I received my new screw, instruction card, and a nice black Benarus cleaning cloth. This is what I call top notch service even tho I am not the original owner.

I just wanted to thank Steve publicly in this forum and to all who do not own a Benarus that the customer service on this watch company alone is worth taking the plunge on buying a Benarus.

Thanks Steve for sending me the items I needed to complete the sizing of the watch.

Kindest regards

i would call that outstanding service. this is the kind of customer service that steve talked about in a thread. he said that the warranty would go with the watch and not the owner. with kind of cs benarus will people over. there is a watch company that should be taking notes and see how benarus treat their customers after the sale i can't wait to for my megalodon 2 to get here.

Steve- interesting you mention about being asked frequently about the Sea Devil.  Once you have reached the point where you feel you are sufficiently established, you might consider developing and selling a single line of watches as general production without being a limited edition.  You would maintain your status as a sought-after boutique line, but would have a consistent product for sale too.  I have no idea what your business plan includes, but I would guess that you could get away with a non-limited version.  I am definitely not a business type, but I would think demand for your limited editions would remain in tact.

I was late to the Benarus club, but my 1KM eases the sting considerably.

Maybe you could call it "Benarus Express" kind of like Holiday Inn Express.subtlelaugh.gif

KLR,

You might have some validity but for me the reason I bought the Benarus Sea Devil was because of the number being produced. I have bought limited editions from other brands ( Invicta ) ie stating limited numbers yada yada, then two months after they air you can pick one up for $100.00 to $150.00 less until it comes time to re-sell and you can only get back a third of what you paid for it. If you look around the shopnbc brands take a while to re-sell but when I was looking for a Benarus Sea Devil if you were not quick it would sell within an hour of being listed.

The watch I bought was from the original owner and he bought pre order which was $400.00 in 2008.  The watch was in great shape no desk diver marks or scratches and I paid $380.00 shipped. So in two years essentially the watch only lost at least to me and the original buyer $20.00.

Now go buy a Invicta from shopnbc for $400.00 and in a year you can buy the same watch new or used for around $150.00-$200.00. Two years later probably for $100.00.

Steve just keep doing what you are doing because my watch is #35 of 50 made in that configuration and no more will ever be produced of that style. Which will keep the value of the watch for years to come.
