Well I just thought I would introduce myself.  I am not a true watch collector yet, but I am working on it.

I used to wear nothing but digital stuff until 1992 when I bought my first Bulova Marine Star.  I bought it as a reinlistment gift to myself for being crazy enough to volunteer one more time.  Well after 11 years in the Navy I decided it was time to make some money and leave the fun to others.

Around 2001 I bought my Accutron day/date (I will have to get some pics).

I have been wearing it ever since.  Well while on vacation in Aruba in March this year I did some shoping and seen the world of automatics (not very common here in WV).

So after posting to another watch forum and doing some research I have found a couple of watches that I like a lot... I may have to buy one, then the other, and maybe one more....

One will be a new Accutron Auto (I get a real big discount, since a friend sells them)

One is a Orient (GMT watch that I like a lot, probably my first upcomming watch)

And last but not least I am thinking about a Steinhart GMT Ocean 1...

Well there you have it, my first post.

As far as other hobby's and such, lets just say it is way to much too list, I think I am a member of at least 20 different forums dealing with 15 or so different subjects.  Not sure if I have too much time or not enough.

LOL sounds like the watch bug has bitten. Good watches you mentioned there. :)

But hay welcome aboard. 3T is a awesome watch person (WIS) forum. I have looked at many and am a member else where but only active on this one. Great friendly community. ;)

I am a member on many other forums too. Been online from the get go back in the 1990's basically. Also A US Navy Vet ('83 - '89)

Most of my digital didn't survive long in the NAVY.... lets just say they took a beating and died a horable death.

If it was cheap and was strapped to my wrist it didn't last more than a few months....

I have learned that if I spend a little extra it will last a lot longer... same goes for my sun glasses my cars, my toys in general....
