I was very nervous to open up my first watch every after 7 years.  My Enzo had been running 25 seconds per day fast.  Even though Enzo would have regulated it for me, I figured is was time for me to do it myself.  THis is just a workhorse ETA movement after all.  I rotated the regualating screw 1.5 marks on the indicator.  Now I'll time it over the next few days and do it again if necessary.

I thought the numbering on the caseback, and the signed rotor (not advertised features) were very nice touches.  Here are the pics:

I figured after sooo many watches (35-40), it was time to take the next step.

Great pics P!cool10.gif

and congrats on moving up and getting under the hood yourself!hand6.gif ....regulating is tedious but has it's rewards...here is a link to a "Cheap Timing Machine" I started using in regulating mine(my son found it for me...he is a engineering student)...makes the whole process easier/fun imo....Good Luck,Buddywatch2.gif

Great Pics!  That is awsome!  Let us know how the adjustment works out.

I'm probably at a point where I should get some basic tools and give it a try, but I'm still kinda chicken.

My EM001 was +23 and the bezel needed alittle more tension.  Enzo took it back.  2 weeks later it arrived back and it's now +5 or 6 and the bezel is perfect.  He wouldn't even let me pay for return shipping.

Very cool to see this! I would never dare to open the watch like that. Atleast not until I read up on it alot more! I put my enzo emv to the test after reading this and it is going 16 seconds slow per day. Is that "normal" behavior for the movement? I only have a few russian t watches otherwise and they are not that reliable so I don't have anything to compare too.

What about the gas that was inside the watch when you opened did the gas come out and now you dont have the feature with the helium valve.

I think I'm going to invest in some basic tools.  While I won't mess with my Enzo off the bat, I've got a couple of other Auto/Divers that I wouldn't mind getting into.  Anyone know much about the purchase of seals?
