I can only beaters to work. For the evenings and weekends theres a  select few I like to wear and rotate some (Doxa, Stowa, LUM-TEC, Soxa, Cuda etc)  but there's a bunch that are fairly neglected.  These days, if I have a nice watch and its getting no wrist time, its usually sold off or flipped for something else I NEED! :D

I wear my Gshock at work but try to wear something different every eve.  I dont get out much but still wear my watches.  I have them for my own enjoyment not for anyone else.

I do wear mine for my own enjoyment. I have met a few people striking up a conversation at a bar or such when someone notices my watch or I notice what they are wearing. Maybe I am messed up in the head, but one of the first thing I do when I meet people is I try to see what is on their wrists.

Oh, I do the same  thing.  But, around here where I live not much to see.  I  like to try to figure out what people are wearing on tv.

Thank God I'm not the only one! My wife thinks I have a problem....she cannot figure out why I need more then one watch. I try to relate it to why does she need 30 pairs of shoes.....I never get an answer.

No, you're not the only one as I'm guilty of it too. My wife also doesn't understand why I need more than one watch. You'll also never get an answer to the shoe question; but if you do and it's a coherent one, please let in on it.

Hey murphy j,

Along with the shoes issue, how about when the wife come home from shopping and she has 2 tops in 5 different colors each and you ask why she needs the same shirts in so many colors....I just get the "look".

Fortunately for me the wife isn't a big clothes shopper, so when she does come home with clothing I don't have a problem. I do notice she has a tendency to buy multiples of household items because she couldn't decide on which size, style, color, brand, etc. etc., that she wanted subtlelaugh.gif.

DJRHodes71.....just a rejoinder and maybe just to help you out a bit on the problem of getting the watches wound with a daily workout:

1) If I go to work in long sleeves and/or a monkey suit, I always wear 2 watches: 1 on each wrist. All the folks at the office and our counterparties know this thing about me. I guess Omegaman and I are the same on this and for sure some other 3T WIS, too.

My heart goes out to Nic's daily dilemna with his 130+ watchestoon1.gif (send me some, Nic).

2) If I hit the field/stores/kitchens and need to wear short sleeves, I wear one on the wrist and 1 or 2 in my pockets.

3) When I get home, I change to the watches I never got to wear for that day and then change into cargo shorts. Each pocket of the cargo shorts will have a watch. Lastly, I wear some leather-strapped watches on each belt loop of my shorts. Thus at home, at any time, I will have about 8 to 10 watches on me getting a fairly good workout as I move around.

On your comment about looking at the other person's wrist the first time you meet him, I guess a lot of us are the same. It's easy to roughly size-up a guy's personality through the watch he wears. In 7 out of 10 cases, I'm usually right about the watch-personality linkage. :)
