Different company but same maker. Look at the details of their designs. Chrono AG is a private label watch company that makes watches for some of the famous watch brands. They also make wathes for some private companies like shell, fitness first, caltex and etc. I have received a catalog from them with the list prices of all their current models. Only a few models for automatic movement though... Last edited on Fri Feb 23rd, 2007 07:32 am by NANDO-FERDZ |

I had a catalog of all these watches not too long ago from a guy I know in Switzerland. They all originate from a private label house who will put a name on the dial for as little as 10 pieces I believe. Prices are fairly competitive for what you'd get. I played with some of the 7750's; nice. Marc

Oscar, I went to the website. They are a Swiss company and using "Swiss Made" on the dial is regulated under Swiss law. If they put "Swiss Made" on the label and they are doing so in Switzerland they are in for some heavy duty regulatory and Court intervention if the product does not meet the specified criteria under their law. The Swiss take that thing much more seriously than any other country. Looking at the website they claim to be in Solothurn Switzerland and they label their product as "Swiss Made"? Am I missing something here that would allow them to use more than 49% non-Swiss parts but assemble and finish the whole watch within the confines of Switzerland?

There are rules about it but as I understand it, basically 50%+ must be made in Switzerland, it must be assembled and finished in Switzerland to carry the tag "Swiss". TZ has a long article about it and all the legal terms and details are in that article.
