I'd like to add an illuminated face automatic to my collection. I'm interested in something along the lines of the below Trias. Before I pull the trigger, can anyone recommend other watches with similiar features? I'm having trouble finding this style. What is the general name for this type of watch? A pilot's watch? Pilot or Aviator watch. You have it right. The Trias is a good and inexpensive way to go. The good thing about it, is it doesn't have any lume on the hands and markers. That lets the glowing dial do the work with the hands and markers totally black - much easier to read than version with everything lumned. Aristo has a few like this, as does Fortis, Vollmer and others. Aristo has their Dakar collection, Titanium collection, and Pilot series with glowing dials. Lume dial watches are tha' BOMB!! And I love the look of a Pilot style watch. Simple and to the point. One of my fav Pilots on the left.
