Swiss Watch Decision Delayed The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry voted in favor of the Swiss government tightening restrictions as to watches showing “Swiss Made” labels. But the Swiss Federal Council won’t be handing down a decision on this until April 2008. What does this mean? The new Federation proposal would require that:

Did the previous definition include prototype and technical construction costs in the calculations? That could be a significant chunk for limited production run pieces... :?

Overhead has always, to the best of my knowledge, been part of the formula. I'm sure that TT has stated in his newsletter is simply a broad sweep without the details, such as final assembly in Switzerland, encasement, etc.

what will Ayal Lalo of invicta do. What about printing just the word "swiss" on the dial like they do? or just "swiss movt" this seems to fool alot of people, such as myself before i got my 3t education.

I hope they vote for the increased regulations and weed out the offendershand6.gif It will probably raise the cost of Swiss Made watches but due to the escalating prices of eta's it is already on the way imhowatch2.gif

he has lots of options he could pirnt ssiws and give a mirror of just put a cheese symbol on it although some might think it is from wisconsin. trust me he will is the master of deception. he will find a way. they might name a town in china swiss. the japanese had a town named usa . so in the 40's and 50's they would stamp it made in usa.
