I can't imagine how hard it must have been, but it certainl was the right decision buddy, how hard as it may have been! He was a beautiful dog.

I hope that we can move beyond the loss and add another dog at some point. Some great dog quotes: "Old men miss many dogs" (Steve Allen) "Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." (Roger Caras) "The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's." (Mark Twain) "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." We can't really picture our life without a dog (and for that matter, we really like to have 2 that can be buddies in life). We already realize that no new pet can "replace" the one that is lost...I agree Mark, each one is special in their own way and in the long run, the joy that they bring far outweighs the feeling of loss (even if it doesn't feel like it right now). I appreciate the comments guys...it is therapy for the soul. Last edited on Tue Aug 2nd, 2011 01:24 pm by stew77 |
