Got this one from Marc (who has the Flu) at Island Watch. These are just fabulous watches for the money. Very good lume, quality fit and finish, accurate movement, superb bracelet with a pushbutton clasp, and bright orange dial. 41mm case, 22mm lugs. Self-winding, 21-jewel bullet proof movement. :) :dude: cat28.gif

I hate to say it, but imho you almost need to have both. The Orange Monster is a classic that every WIS loves and enjoys. I dare say the Orient Day/Date diver is fast becoming a classic. Another great watch which is a bit more refined than the Orange Monster imho. The only thing that sometimes drive me bonkers is the second crown for dotw adjustment. Just kinda quirky but then that is part of the charm of an Orient.

And Marc, feel better! hand6.gif

I agree with PAX on the monster vs. mako. The Monster is more of a true dive watch whereas the mako is more of sport dive watch. The Monster is larger and jumps out at you on your wrist. Lume is second to none. Great Bezel, and equally great bracelet.

The Orient fits my use better. I haven't even used my pool in several years :D, so a nice, more dressy Orient Mako works better.

Great watch! Got my "Mako" in blue a few months ago(from Marc, of course!) so perhaps a Monster in orange...
For those of us without a winder, you do need to either shake the Orient or wear it every day to keep from having to fiddle with the dotw button.
