tny795 and jakisbck, Welcome to monitor calibration errors. Depending on your monitor settings and color calibration, you both can be seeing the same watch in different colors. Your monitor can have its own built-in color hue error that can lead you to think the blue in that dial is a pale green, slightly red or something else. As monitors age this condition can be amplified. It is possible to calibrate your monitor all through its life to correct these errors, but few people do it. :) tny795 wrote: What are you talking about? :?

Nice watch Tom! :) Btw, the Bulova, you can send to Jacky! :P Seriously I do not see any Blue too. Maybe light grey or some may call it light greyish blue. As for Greg (jakisbck) and Toni (tny795), I am sure both their monitors are not calibrated. But that does not make a BIG difference really. I have an old PC and a new PC at work, one is calibrated and one is not. And my home PC is new but I calibrated it. So for Tom's Hammy, it appear more or less the same to me on 3 of the PCs. I still do not see any Blue. :P btw, I use Adobe Gamma for monitor calibration.:) Last edited on Mon Jul 10th, 2006 07:24 am by watchboy |

Because of the "silvering" of both TT colors on the dial it's very hard to capture the tints as they usually appear. The outer perimeter is actually a more subdued shade, kind of a grayish gold, and the center section is actually a bit more silver and less gold than the photo. I should also add that the shirt I was wearing that day is actually a muted green, not the muted brown in the photo. Oh well... Here are a few of the seller's photos, which may be a bit more color accurate.

Wow. That is really cool pacifichrono wrote: Well, not REALLY new...it's a 1948 Hamilton Barton in solid 14K gold and sporting a "Medalion" 982 19-jewel movement that runs flawlessly. I've had it for a couple weeks but changed the strap from black croc to brown lizard for this shot. Now my gold 1955 Omega Seamaster has a mate!
