Well, the sheriff is gonna crap ALL over this, but from the picture it looks like lead to me ...And yes William, I know that lead is one of the softest metals out there, and that for the life of me I can`t see that it would be suitable for a bezel/case back. But since there are more than a few other "strange" suggestions here, I thought what the heck ... But, lead? nahh, don`t really think so. But hey, maybe Kaz has come up with a neat way to treat lead iot "harden it up" ? Have gotten the umbrella out, so I`ll be ready for the shit-storm from the north, hehe ![]()

Lead and zinc...Rolf: You can rip into lead with a good nail...Hahaha, that's not what you need on a bezel! Also, I would't scratch any part of my body day after day to those metals guys: No thanks. Even the transfer through the skin may be small, I would not recommend it. ![]()

But quite clearly we are not talking lead here guys, transfer etc as Oscar talks about, and of course ...lead is soft as putty, no argument there. Nevertheless, hope Kazim will shed some light on this mystery of his anytime soon, `cause looks like he`s got a few WIS`eagerly awaiting the unveiling.

ok guys.... i am in the testing process.... and to let you know. its a special steel which i use for the bezel and caseback only, which will only rust on the surface(yes only surface. the rust wont go through the whole material)and the case will be bronze. i think the mix of bronze with rusted stainless steel will look great having a vintage look, note:this watch is sold out with a back-up waiting list.

Hmmm, rusted steel on bronze case ...That sounds interesting indeed Kaz. Will the rusting process "stop" or is it an ongoing process as with normal rust? And one might end up with all details on bezel and case back "eaten away" after some years? Just wondering, but the pictures I get in my head of a "rusted apperance on a bronze case ..." sure looks nice. Can`t wait to se some more pictures! If not all exposing, could you at least post a picture of the rusted apperance of the metal? And enjoy the hollidays Kazim! Rolf

Been misleaded there... I understood that it was another metal than steel. Usual carbon steel can rust deep Oscar: Not only superficially.![]()
