My brown dart dial Moray 2 came in today. I think it's a nice update to the Moray 1. The dial really looks nice and the brown color looks great. I think the Moray 2 have a couple of functional improvements over the Moray 1 with the bezel and crown being easier to grip thanks to more defined ridges. I particularly like the bigger feeling crown. Can't really make any observations about the Miyota 9015 movement yet, but it's nice to have a full featured (hand-winding, hacking, 28.8k beating) movement that's not an ETA 2824. Anyway, I'm very happy with the Moray 2 so far. Here are some quick pics I took: Notice the highly defined ridges on the bezel and crown. Helium escape valve for those hard days desk diving at work! Close up of the dial Next to the Moray 1 dart dial Case comparison. They look very much alike with some minor differences. Comparing the side profiles. My PAM312 has a similar styled case to the Morays, so I also took a few shots with the Panerai. I really like this style of watch case. Group shot. The Moray 2 is pretty thick, but not quite as thick as the 312. Moray 1 feels like a slim version of these watches! Wrist shot. I think the Moray 2 will have a place within my watch rotation. It should do a fine job as the 312's stunt double ![]() ![]() ![]() Attachment: oopstoobig2.png (Downloaded 220 times)

Looks awesome GX....Big Congrats!![]() Love the brown dial, and your pics fully support the fact that the brown dial looks great on every strap that Benarus is offering for the Moray II (IMO). I know everyone will have their favorite, but all of the combos I've seen look pretty great. Thanks so much for sharing the comparison shots with your Dart Dial Moray I and your PAM 312 (oh man, one of my absolute favorite PAM's right now!!!...I definitely drool over the 312...drool.gif). Totally agree with your assessment of the improvements on the Moray II...love the new crown and bezel. Benarus has yet another winner with these Moray II's! ![]() ![]()

I'm also one of the ten or so that has one of this style steel Moray 2 watches, but mine is sitting in the post office blah.gif According to the USPS website it arrived 26 minutes after my post office closed. Plus I'm in Pittsburgh for the Winter Classic hockey game. So only on Monday will I get to see it. I'm wondering how it will look on my wrist though since it seems to be a rather large watch on everyone. I couldn't see it being an issue since my wrist is 7 3/4 inches. Thanks for the pictures. It's great getting to see what's waiting for me on Monday. Jeff

There is always a dial color that you are not too sure of and when you see it in pics it really pops. In the meg 2 it was that sunburst and in the Moray 2 it is the brown dial. Fantastic color, I hope it is offered in the Moray III as well as the British racing Green offered in the Moray I. Congrats

Thanks guys! Since the thick strap that came with the watch is a bit difficult to fit under most of my shirt cuffs, I threw it on a Hirsch Traveler strap I had lying around for the winter. ![]() ![]() Last edited on Sat Jan 1st, 2011 12:58 pm by GX9901 |

I didn't know there's an 800 pixel width limit on pictures now, so the pics on the OP got removed. Here they are, hopefully correctly resized.![]() Notice the highly defined ridges on the bezel and crown. ![]() Helium escape valve for those hard days desk diving at work! ![]() Close up of the dial ![]() Next to the Moray 1 dart dial ![]() Case comparison. Thanks, I'm betting that as the names were on the reservation list is how the numbering went. Great selection for your watch and many thanks (again) for the pics!! Jeff
