Hi all,

Greetings from HK.  Been a member of this weird and wonderful family for a few weeks now but hadn't got 'round to introducing myself.

I am Greek expat working and living in HK and have been a watch fanatic for a few years now.

I attach photos of some of the watches on the present line-up, including the old faithful Citizen Promaster Aqualand that kickstarted the love of timepieces, especially dive watches: the Citizen, an Aristo Flieger Replika 55 mm, an Armida A1 (which donated its Zulu strap to the Aristo), A Dievas Cali Titanium, and the Steinhart Ocean 44 DLC.

I will confess to two impulse buys, both lamentable for different reasons.  My beloved PAM 104 which I bought and sold within 3 months (lesson learnt - never buy a watch unless you have the cash to back it) and a garish Police J12-lookalike which seemed like a good idea on a red eye flight between London and HK (another lesson learnt...).

Cheers.

K.

PS.  Apologies for the camera phone photos...

Thanks for the welcome all.

Interesting thing about the Steinhart.  I snapped it up as soon as it came out, back in July, and I have not seen it since - neither on the Steinhart website nor on Gnomon.  It wasn't advertised as a limited edition and I find it difficult to believe that the market wasn't there.

Cheers.

K.

Agree...that Steinhart seems like a rare bird in PVD...that is the first one I've seen in the PVD finish! cool.gif

Welcome to 3T Khronos, and thx for sharing your collection:0) My watch-interest was also started with the Citizen Aqualand way back (although the black case C023 version) And wearing the newest version today actually.

What can I say.  It's a classic!  And I am interested to see if anyone of the latest acquisitions reaches such an iconic status...

Don`t think so, as they have gone down a completely different line. And even though they have tried to push the new designs quite heavily, the old ones still sell better as it seems. There are a lot of vendors that are selling of the new designs at a huge discount these days, and trying to restock the older Aqualand models, that mostly have gone out of production. Interesting that a company believes so much in their own new designs, that they won`t listen to what the consumer wants. I for one would never think of buying any of their newer futuristic models.
