Weeeeelllllll..... it sure is big. The comment about it being "wearable" is relative, of course. I think the use of the contrasting bezel ring is innovative, but it is too big for my girlie wrists. I can see it on the wrists of some of us here, and I hope that those who buy it, enjoy it! Cheers all - IanM

Hmmm... Too big, or not too big...irrelevant. (at least till actually available) Peter really has created something unique, and chock full of character! Whether I buy one or not, I think it's radically cool.

Love the vintage trend thats been going around (for some time), and also like that it`s "Taking its inspiration from a vintage depth gauge". But, then the liking stops. don`t really think I would buy it, cause even though I like the tool-look, this is a real door knob/door frame buster at fricking 22.5mm high! (16-18mm would be more than enough, imo) Guess it will come with its own carrying license, registered as a "blunt object, suitable as a weapon" But than again, I could be COMPLETLY wrong  , stanger things have happend ...Anyways, hope to see some wrist shots of it, that could "clear" up the whole practicality issue. As much as I wasn't found of the Enzo, I kind of like this model. Maybe not for those who worry about that the watch would not fit under them shirt's sleeve... I never wear shirts so: No problemo. 47mm isn't surprisingly big. Now for the 22.5mm thick: I don't see it as a major problem. In fact, I don't see it as any problem at all, as I'm not gynecologist  It's just like a Megalodon with 3.5mm thickness added: If you can wear a Meg without looking like a penguin having a tambourine on his wing, then it's fitting you...

I like it, but don't think it's for me. I had a cool depth-gauge last year that I thought about making a watch out of, but too many projects so away it went. Here it is, the dial was bright orange and the all the text was lume that GLOWED. 47mm x 22mm, 19mm strap    Peter might have used this design so the watch could have had a bezel with a flat crystal. OK, I'm the terd in the punchbowl. I like it a lot!!! 47mm and 22.5 is A-ok with me. My SMW 20,000ft is at 29mm high. My Laco Flieger is 20mm high. So Peter's next creation at 22.5mm is ok with me. I like the combination of colors a lot and all that vintage/retro feel adds more collectibility to the watch. This is similar to Enzo's Moon Landing Vehicle which I saw a few months back. While the Sheriff doesn't wear shirts  I cut my shirts just before the cuffs so this tall watch is no problemo. I just hope the price point is friendly.

if everyone would look at this watch for what it is intended for (diving) then I don't see any problems with the height...too many WIS are desk divers looking for a daily wearer imo....as far as a functioning bezel is concerned I don't think too many serious divers use them for the purpose of timing dives anymore. ....the Megalodon is 19mm in height and easily worn as a desk diver but on the other hand the Charmex 12,000 ft. is 28.5mm thick and not easily worn for anything other than diving afaiac...so looking at Helsons new concept here I would say I like it because of the vintage feel and look but it wouldn't be something I would wear outside of a water environment. ...what I do find amusing is none of the watch parrots are up in arms over Peter using Enzos design!

Well, sheriffs opinion and turds in punchbowls asidelaughing.gif, and also the whole desk-diver/true diver conundrum, this all boils down to personal preference I guess. Its like when I was a kid, and I would tell my mother I hated coliflower, and my mother would arguee "NO, IT TASTES GOOD!!!" Walking around with my Megalodon I migtht look like a penguin with a tamburin, but I FEEL butch. LOL!!    As other treads here at 3T, this is hilarious ! Gotta love 3T!!!And to my "defence", I used to be a TRUE diver, but now I`m desk-diving the hell out of all my watches. The deepest they will probably go nowadays is 3-4 meters TOPS! Anyways, will hold my dissing untill I see some acctual wrist shots of this tamburine:0) Rolf
