The Grovana looks like a nice watch minding the translations on the website.

I say difuse the issue by buying her one at the same time in a more femmine look, one for me and one for you.

Aloy has some nice watches in the members area, how about a Gervil for her then you get the Grovana.

I give my wifey a Datejust and then I do not fill bad giving myself a Yachtie......

Yes sorry Tony, I don't agree with this part at all. To me it reads that if she's not agreeable, go ahead and buy the watch anyway, and when she finds out and has been hurt and deceived, an apology will restore the trust and heal the hurt - but that's just my interpretation ... :)

Note the Snoopy icon at the end:D

Sorry for the wait - had to tend to my son home sick from school. Anyway I did see Snoopy and took him into consideration. Did I misinterpret? :)

Excellent solution! You get your watch and you're being upfront! :D

Morning!

With all due respect, please remember and I quote - keep in mind will most likely marry this girl - and although I agree with you about long lasting relationships with watches, my observation has been that they are frequently sold and traded imho. :D You can always buy a watch, but in the illustrious words of John Lennon ... "Can't Buy Me Love" ;) :D

My two cents...if your girlfriend is dictating your spending habits, imagine the power she will have when she's your wife!  I say take a stand - - it's your money, not hers...not yet anyway!  If you wimp out now it just sets the stage for a lifetime of the same.  IMHO.

All right! We've been waiting for this thread haven't we folks;)

2 things always make sense in my house. One: the uniqueness of the timepiece in question and how it differs from others and adds to my collection. Two: Carpe Diem!  I've missed out on watches in the past and expressed much dismay about not seizing the opportunity when they came up (add lots of moping and tears).  Now granted I do make a mental concious effort to cool the buying for a couple of months but all the same...don't pass up an opportunity if it'll make  you miserable later (sell that part, girls hate a miserable guy around).  It's also a good idea to sell your girl on your hobby by indirectly getting her into it as well.  The suggestion to buy her one too is a GREAT idea that can blossom into a secondary hobby.   Christmas is coming after all and Santa brings things for all good girls and boyssubtlelaugh.gif

As long as you're selling the jewelry angle, don't forget that diamonds are a girl's best friend! hearteyes.gif ;) There are plenty of affordable diamond watches out there, especially the designer brands - you'd be surprised! :) She would be putty in your hands!! ;)
