Are you aware that Sonbol is based right down the street from you? :)

I saw that...and still I've managed to avoid the brand.  The next Sonbol I see on someone's wrist in Chicago will be the first Sonbol I've seen.

Could you tell us if you found something or decided? It would be good to know if any of the suggestions helped or if you found something else that seems to be the best solution.
Thanks.

I ended up recommending the Debaufre Nav-B, which I know is tough to find, but it was out of her price range. She knows it's tough to find a moderately priced watch with those specs (sapphire, automatic, 46mm+, solid lume and no numerals). Her husband (another WIS), said that she needs a watch you can read clearly from 30 feet away (the equivalent of about 1 foot for her).

I appreciate everyone's great suggestions. 3T is a great community. I will keep searching. I think she is looking for sub $400.

It may be a little small but its white on black and stands out a lot. Limited edition and Sapphire glass, swiss automatic movement all for about 300 dollars.

And is a London make.
