I just wanted to share the fact that I met Ron Sabo today. I spent my weekend at the Wannemachers Gun Show and Ron had several tables set up there. I spent probably 20-30 miutes talking to him about different things. He seems like a really good guy that wants to put out an excellent product. He even complimented me on my watch, which I thought was nice. Apparently, I was one of the few people he saw that was wearing something other than asian produced stuff. He had quite a bit of his product on hand that I got to look at. I was impressed with the quality. He even had a couple of one-of-a-kind pieces that were pretty darn nice. I'm definately going to purchase something from him in the future. It really helps to see a product first hand.

Ron is very difficult to get ahold of via phone or email (from my experience) but he does sell a nice product.  I recommend the watches, but the customer service has always left me with a sour taste.

You're the first person I've heard say that. I think all the things I've read have been positive, but I know nothing's perfect.

I know he wasn't having a good show and made reference to the fact that he'd be better off at home taking care of business. Is the crappy CS a recent thing? Maybe he's just got a lot on his plate and is having trouble keeping up.

I bought my first marine diver from a fellow wis, it may have been  you eric? black pvd marine diver?

I was made aware about trying to get in contact with the owner, ron was difficult.
I made contact to purchase another gmt pvd and all went smooth, so I thought it was isolated?

My watch wasnt shipped when he said it was, I tried to make contact with no reply, I did this a few times, I finally threatened to cancel my credit card order and he got ahold of me real quick, he had a story? Watch came all was good.

I contacted him again for some ideas and some wants and no reply, I tried again about 5 times via phone messages and emails. To this day has never returned my call, so now I dont and wont do business with Ron again.

I have not quite figured out why when a person has a good business and he has orders, why cant he just simplify things by putting a good self explanatory web site up so he doesnt have to be bothered by the calls and emails?

It's starting to sound like the cases of good CS are isolated not the norm. I'm actually a little disenheartened to hear that,:(, as I was considering making a purchase during Xmas while home on leave.

Sure thing Tony. I just don't know yet how long I'll have at home during that timeframe. It might only be 8 days but could be 2 weeks. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.  I already know that I need patience because my bank account doesn't come anywhere near to my wish list.:D

Ron doesn't seem to have anyone to answer his phone when he is out of own. I called and left a message that I was interested in one of his Railroad Standard watches and it took him two weeks to call me back. After I talked to him, I had the watch and an extra strap in two days. The watch was a bargain for sure but you had better have something else to wear while waiting for him to return your call. I don't know why he doesn't set up automatic ordering on his web sight.
