2 Trias and 1 Alpha. Maybe someone here can answer this. These are my first automatics and no instructions were included with any of them. When I wind them manually, there doesn't seem to be a "stop". They seem to go on forever. Is this normal? If so, when do you know it's fully wound? Alpha pic attached. Hi Wardog, congrats on those nice pieces!!!:):):) I saw you asking how to post pics in WUS. Ok here is a thread that I wrote and reposted by Ken recently on"HOW TO POST PIC/PICS in FORUM": http://timetechtalk.com/forum5/1825.html Hope it helps. Btw, it works for both the forum here and WUS, and many other forums too. Jacky wardog wrote: 2 Trias and 1 Alpha.

Thanks for everything guys. I guess I just didn't realize that you had to host the pic somewhere else. The sites that I am familiar with that don't host the pics won't even let you do thumbnails so I guess it didn't click. Can someone here fill me in on what "Retrograde" means. I know it refers to the hand that sweeps back and forth instead of around and around, but is there any history or significance other than that? Why that word to describe it?

Wardog, link me to those sites that you wanted to post your pics normally if you don't mind. I will see what they require and show you how to post a pic. :) Anyway RETROGRADE? Hmmmm.....I am not sure. Can't help you on that! Maybe it is just a name that referes to RETRO style(grade). :P

Basically, retrograde means: to move in a direction contrary to the usual one So, your retrograde minute hand will go to 60 and then snap backwards to the zero (reverse direction/counterclockwise) Gerald Genta's the brand to check out; he does retro hours, mins, secs--the whole 9 yds. wardog wrote: Thanks for everything guys. Hi wardog, I went to the 2 sites you gave me. The ar15 has a help button and you can use what I told you in my instructions. Look here is its help page: http://www.ar15.com/content/help/help.html?id=6 wardog wrote: TNy 795, thanks, that makes sense. Last edited on Sun Mar 19th, 2006 03:33 pm by watchboy |

Yeah--sort of take your choice; they're basically the same thing except some say Fly-back Hand, (retrograde date hand) Usually, a hand indicating a date or time against a scale and then "flies back" to catch up with to another date or time. Flyback hand A seconds hand on a chronograph that is used to determine lap or finishing times for several competitors. Both the flyback and the regular second hand are set in motion, then to record a lap or finishing time, the flyback hand can be stopped. After taking the results, push a button and the flyback hand will catch up to the constantly moving second hand.
