My wife really likes my new Orange Monster for several reasons - the bright color, the great lume, and the easy-to-read face. She is frustrated in being able to find anything like that for her. Anyone know of a decent women's size (sub 38) watch out there with any of these attributes? She is still wearing a nearly 20 year old much-tortured Indiglo as it lights up so she can read it at night. She has moderately poor vision, esp at night. Most women's wathces we see are either too small and low contrast to read well and/or are mega-boring in style. A mini-OM would do it!

Luminox makes a series of watches that may suit your wife. Tritium dials also make for some neat night time use. http://www.luminoxshop.com/ladies-luminox.html Bill

How about an SKX013? They're not 38mm exactly but wear small due to their short lugs and small footprint. ![]() It's still a true Seiko diver, so the lume, water resistance and hardiness of the 7S26 movement will still be there, and you get day / date as well, just like the OM. Runswithscissors, you know what? The Seiko small diver's watch posted by Jonathan is not very big and very likely just at your bogey of 38mm. I usually surf http://www.chronograph.com for lots of Seiko choices. I am very sure you can find a small ladies diver's watch there. I recall a buddy of mine was able to get a small diver's watch for his wife. Check out that site and zero in on the ladies' versions. Incidentally, if you are able to get a Seiko diver's watch for your wife, you can also change the steel braclet or rubber strap to a Nato strap which can come in colors ladies will love, aside from the usual black. Hope this helps. ;)

Had the same problem with my wife, wanted something new but could not find anything she liked so I let her try a few of my 42mm to 44mm watches, she was hooked on that size....she has a really small wrist, probably 6 inches to 6 1/4 inches and she loves this size watch. The problem I have now is keeping her away from my watches. If you think about it a woman with this size wrist wearing a 43mm or 44mm watch is not much different than a guy with a 6 3/4 inch wrist, lime me, wearing a 47mm or 48mm watch. I would suggest having her try a Pam homage, you can pick one up cheap, under $100, you might be surprised.

Got my wife a Tag Auquaracer, Seiko (as pictured above), and an Invicta Diver. Invicta makes a couple nice ladies watches, but the seiko is probably the best value. She also really like the Citizen Eco-Drive (borrowed pic)![]()

Thanks ! I really appreciate the leads and have looked at all of them. The 013 Seiko will probably interest her most, but I'll let her tell me that. (She likes the green side of the automatic/solar/kinetic items). I wasn't aware it was as small feeling as it is (thanks). Gos to show that simple specs don't tell much about preceived feel.. For once, the guys are lucky as they buy more watches and therefore get the far greater selection. Thanks!

Forgot to add that I'm already an Oceanus fan as I have one - great value and a neat watch. She doesn't like them only because the gent's are illuminated and the lady's are not. I think it made her mad.... Otherwise, though, they are really good. I have a simpler thre-hand one on a bracelet which I bought because I liked the clean look plus hidden feature set idea a lot. Really light being Ti, comfortable to wear due to good balance and shape, and easy to read in the day. At night the twin LED dial illuminators are almost too bright on my model - I do wish I could turn them down somewhat. Of course, I can always signal for help with it, if lost in the woods....
