Maybe it is just me, but I can think of about a dozen REAL Swiss watches with better stats for this kind of money. Only 100 meters rated, mineral crystal, ETA movement (not sure of which class or decoration, etc.) I would be hard pressed to try and tell my jeweler or another WIS just who in the heck this outfit really is. Where are the Arabic numbers that are mentioned? Hate the 3 different shaped function areas. Hate the white lume dots. Hate all the writing at the 3 o'clock position. Loathe the bracelet. Other than that, plus what you've already mentioned, I can honestly say it's a $800 rip-off ugly watch--IMHO, of course. The truth is the design is Italian it is 10+years old. I like it, but I am a wop that use to live in the ghetto of Miami. The only problem is the service from invicta. The truth is Inv. changed the original design by (1) no luminesent markers every 15 min, (2) no skrew down crown, (3) if you are going to make a watch at that price range use a sapphire cristal. I think it is a cool watch in person. I personaly can not get past Invicta. I like different stuff I had my lupa on today and love it, but that is personal oppinion. To me a Kobold is just a tool there is no art there and I have a few of them. Good execution though. That is the problem with invicta, sometimes they get a good design and have terrible execution. E.L. took the cash and bought P.P. and Scoifman 1 1/2 to two years ago. They do not opperate them on a day to day, but they did take the Intel. Prop. from both. The sapphire gost in invicta is a S.C. milled out and sapph encased 2824 with tweeks, but editing demensions and angles on CAD takes seconds if you are good enough. Look at the Slop web site. Sterling Imp. is like SWI they are distributors plus. They have great CS. PP I do not believe was ever under contract for N.A. disribution. SCoifman on the other hand was by Ster.. If you watched when they would have an allstar or call in where they had an Scoifman and Invicta, E.L. would not promote the S.C., because he was not the one selling the watch. Oscar, I bet you know more about Sterling than you think, you are just not putting the pieces together you watched the old shows with TT, what group of people did he always talk about starts with a P. Who did Juda work for. He sold multiple brands didn't he even some S.C.. Part 2 I looked at it to and figured out it was worth about $500 give or take. The movement is only $150 to $220 dep on dec and volume of purchase. The parts that Inv. changed moved the watch from being a good sport watch(orig. designed for) to a fashion watch. I have a more direct hint how do you spell sterling in german, may be stuhrling. 30 west 47th street is the adress of both. One is on the 6th floor and the other on the 11th. You just got two of there watches from me. With that I am out.

I do not know much about movement design. I used a cheet sheet with sizes and specs when working up prototype. I herd the same things but it is not my area of Exp.. It is hard enough to get a design right on paper, and then have to deal with the crap of people trying to make it cheeper. I am trying to learn how to use the internet still. Mov't design is for a latter date. Wish I could give more info.
