Imho Shnoop is not one of the better of these "daily deal" sites. The pisser is they seem to have a pipeline to Accutron...

Sorry Ken, but I highly doubt you will get any satisfaction from Shnoop.mistake.gif

Sorry to see about your doa Accutron, Ken.  Regarding warranty card stamps, lot's of AD's never stamp a warranty.  Usually all you need is your receipt and a registration of your warranty card.

Regarding Shnoop, that seems out of character for them.  I know when the 3 hand VX-200 deals hit last year, there were a few problems noted around the internet watch sites and they seemed to be able to handle those problems quite easily.

It is a hell of a watch for that price and if you want the watch, maybe pricing out a fix with a reputable local watchmaker is the route to go.

Thanks...yeah, still no response from shnoop, but I did finally find a telephone # for the Bulova/Accutron Service Center in Woodside, NY (none is on the warranty card), but I called a little late so I will try again on Monday.  I also took it to a local watchmaker that I have used for some time...he looked at it and said it looked like a simple hand reattachment, but couldn't tell for sure unless he opened it up...told me that since it was a new watch, he would hate to open it, find something deeper and perhaps even void the warranty.  He recommended I attempt to get Accutron to repair it, and, if I did not prevail, then bring it back.

At this point, I think shnoop sucks, if only because of their non-responsiveness.

Well shnoops.com officially sucks...they have been totally non-responsive and therefore irresponsible...what a crappy outfit...I will definitely think twice about doing business with them again, regardless of the deal.  I know "shit happens", but they should at least responsibly address it...who do they think they are?  Eyal Lalo?  mistake.gif

That said, I packed up the watch and sent it off to Bulova/Accutron in NY for warranty repair...we'll see what happens.

Ken I have been asking them on a daily basis (since the vx-200 chrono was listed) if they are going to sell the blue vx-200 chrono and I have yet to get a response from them... or more precisely the taxi driver who moonlights as shnoop.com and doesn't actually speak or write any english...

Hands come off in shipping all the time though it may very well have been perfect when it left shnoop.
Sorry about that Ken!

Well I've never felt good about them before and with this info will not give them a penny of my business. Just offering a low price dose not make it a deal. And that is very amateur time of them not to stand behind what they sell. :?

The good news is that I just spoke with the Bulova Service Center and they will cover the repair under warranty and check it out for any other potential problem.!

So, a "thumbs-up" to Bulova/Accutron! hand6.gif

Well thats a little bit of good news Ken!

I always feel better knowing someone with a pulse has looked over the watch so warranty serviced watches should be better than new!

I too received a DOA VX200 from Shnoop.com. :(

My problem seems to be a loose rotor....it just spins freely.

Great looking watch though. Looking forward to getting it back from repair.
